There's an open question that I am chewing on that I'd like to hear your perspective on.
So, are people just going to be ok giving up everything to these AI platforms? Does social media etc. demonstrate that things like 'memory' for AI just gets fully ceded to platforms?
On the one hand, I'm not that OK with it. I see HUGE promise in simple, small, focused AI for personal use. To make our individual lives easier. But does the friction in creation / use mean that the vast majority just don't care and are going to use whatever is off the shelf?
How is this going to shake out?
Are businesses really going to be ok with just dumping it all into some platform and letting the platform do all of the work?
I have a hard time believing that this is going to be the case, that, especially for companies, giving up that much ownership to some third party is just going to be a non-starter. That you're just an appendage on OpenAI or whatever platform that generates cash flow until they cut you off....
What do people think? How are you thinking about it?
